Dio-8 Card

This interface card can be used for the conversion of signal levels using opto-couplers and relay switching

Description

Using an 8-channel opto-coupler card it is possible to convert up to 8 signals with SPC-levels (0/24V) to signals with TTL-levels (0/5V) or vice versa. The special feature of this card is that the eight channels can be configured in any way required. The function of a channel is determined by jumper settings and welding points. In addition, switching is possible on 4 of the 8 channels by means of TTL or SPC levels. Front-mounted LEDs show all switching processes.

The card is standard European format (100 x 160 mm) for use in 19" racks. All relays can be switched as opening or closing contacts.

Typical configurations:

Two signals are sent from an SPC to a measuring system that operates with TTL. The measuring system responds with three signals to SPC. In addition the SPC and the measuring system each switch a relay to control pneumatically-operated valves.
