Dio-delay
card
The
programmable card switches up to 8 input signals to 8 outputs in
accordance with pre-defined criteria.

Description
The
8-channel timer card can be used to switch up to 8 input signals
(TTL) to 8 output signals (4x TTL and 4 relays). The output signals
have 4 response modes:
0.
Output signals are always LOW, independent of the input signals.
1.
Output signals are identical with the input signals.
2.
In response to the first rising input level, the output signal goes
to HIGH, and in response to the second rising input level to LOW.
3.
In response to a rising input signal the output signal goes to HIGH,
and then after a pre-programmed time-period returns to LOW. The
time base is adjustable.
The
programming of modes and transfer of switching signals is by hand-shaking
on 8 data-lines and takes at least 20 ms.
The
card is standard European format (100 x 160 mm) for use in 19" racks.
All relays can be switched as opening or closing contacts.
Typical
configurations:
A
traffic light signal is set to red when the input channel 1 receives
a rising input (TTL). At Output 1 a relay is closed which switches
on the red light. In accordance with the programmed Mode (3), the
signal stays on for 1.5 seconds. Then the relay returns to its initial
status and the light goes off, irrespective of the status of the
input.
In
Mode 2, the light can be switched off by a second rising level at
the Input 1.
