Energy Box

The Energy Box provides the power supply for the MagSens and the coding of the testing equipment. It complies with IP 67 specifications for use in hostile industrial environments (such as pressing plant).

Description

The EnergyBox can supply up to 4 MagSens units and a component sensor (inductive actuator) with electricity for component excitation. It also passes measurement signals back to the mobile central unit of the testing system. All connections are by means of HAN industrial connectors. Each EnergyBox can be coded with a number from 0 to 64, so that it will be recognised immediately when it is plugged in (plug & play). The connection to the mobile central unit is by means of an armoured cable.

A typical application:

Deep-drawn components are to be tested for cracks between two stages of production. The area around the station is subject to considerable vibration and large quantities of cooling lubricant are used. The EnergyBox is set up near the testing station, the component sensor and the MagSens are brought into position and connected. With the connection to the mobile central unit the testing system is up and running within minutes.
